You do not have to carry this journey of love and grief alone.
Join SOSS Support Group Meetings
SOSS offers free peer-led Zoom support meetings for adults age 18 and older who have lost a brother or sister to suicide.
This is a sacred sibling-to-sibling space where grieving siblings can come together in care, honesty, compassion, and understanding. Our meetings are created by siblings, for siblings. While we are not therapists or counselors, we walk alongside one another through shared lived experience.
SOSS currently offers three peer-led Zoom support meeting options. Please review the information below and complete the form to select the meetings you would like to join. You may select more than one meeting group when applicable.
After your request is reviewed, the SOSS Support Team will contact you by email with meeting information and next steps.
Meeting invitations are shared only with approved participants to help protect the privacy and safety of our sibling support communities.

SOSS - Survivors of Twin Sibling Suicide Support Meetings
The SOSS Survivors of Twin Sibling Suicide Support Meetings are dedicated peer support gatherings for adults whose twin brother or twin sister died by suicide.
These meetings offer a compassionate space to speak openly about the unique relationship, identity, connection, grief, and life changes that can follow the suicide loss of a twin.
This is a new specialized SOSS peer support group, and we are grateful and excited to offer this additional space for surviving twins.
Meeting Times
Meeting days and times will be announced later in August 2026.
SOSS - Survivors of Sibling Suicide Faith-Centered Sibling Support Meetings
The SOSS Faith-Centered Sibling Support Meetings are peer-support gatherings for adults who have lost a brother or sister to suicide and wish to openly include faith as part of their grief and healing journey.
Siblings are welcome to openly share their grief, faith, questions, prayers, struggles, memories, and hope.
You are welcome when your faith feels steady. You are also welcome when you feel broken, angry, confused, or distant from God. You are welcome exactly as you are.
This is a new specialized SOSS peer-support group, and we are grateful and excited to offer a space where siblings can speak openly about both their grief and their faith.

Private One-to-One Peer Support
Private one-to-one peer support is available by Zoom, phone, or text.
Some siblings may feel more comfortable speaking privately with another sibling before attending their first group meeting. Others may request an individual conversation when they need additional support or a quieter place to share.
You may indicate on the form if you would like someone from the SOSS Support Team to contact you about one-to-one peer support.
What to Expect
Our meetings are mostly unstructured and gently guided.
Many siblings choose to share, while others prefer to listen. There is never any pressure to speak.
You are welcome to keep your camera off, remain muted, share only what feels comfortable, join after the meeting begins, leave whenever you need to, or simply sit quietly and listen.
At the beginning of each meeting, we invite everyone to briefly introduce themselves, share their sibling’s name, the date they passed, and, if comfortable, where they are joining us from.
Beyond that introduction, you are welcome to share as much or as little as feels right for you.
There is healing in sharing, and there is also healing in simply listening.
Sharing Our Stories
At SOSS, we believe no sibling should have to carry the hardest parts of their story alone.
Some siblings may choose to share the circumstances surrounding their sibling’s death, including difficult details, because speaking those experiences aloud can be an important part of grief, healing, remembrance, and connection.
Others may simply listen. There is never any expectation to share more than you are comfortable sharing.
We ask everyone to hold one another’s stories with compassion, kindness, confidentiality, and respect.
If you feel this style of peer support may be difficult for you at this time, we completely understand.
Every grief journey is unique, and it is important to choose the support environment that feels right for you.
Meeting Guidelines
Grief shows up in many ways. All are welcome.
We ask everyone to:
-
Respect confidentiality
-
Listen with compassion
-
Avoid interrupting
-
Offer support without unsolicited advice
-
Respect the purpose and beliefs of each meeting group
-
Honor the backgrounds, experiences, emotions, and opinions of others
